Do you know what Peak Performance and Thanksgiving have in common?
What do Thanksgiving and Peak Performance have in common?…
Thanksgiving is a holiday intended for us to give thanks for the many blessings in our life. Studies show that the 2 characteristics peak performers possess are hope and gratitude. Hope that there is a better tomorrow, and gratitude for the gifts they currently have. Now some of you may be thinking that this is an over simplification and that it takes much more to achieve peak performance. We would disagree, every house needs a foundation to stand on, hope and gratitude are the foundation in which all peak performers pull from…
But, we don’t expect you to take our word for it. Any peak performer should never take anything on face value, we challenge you to see for yourself.
Over the next 2 weeks give yourself the gift of gratitude and create your gratitude journal. Every day spend 5 minutes writing down all the things you are grateful for in your life. You will be amazed at the things you will identify. For example: I am grateful that my eyes opened this morning, and I was able to see. Seems silly? Imagine all the things I wouldn’t be able to do if I couldn’t see. I certainly wouldn’t be able to write you this note. Listing these simple things on a piece of paper, not only makes you realize what you have today, but gives you the hope for that better tomorrow.
We were skeptical at first, until we took someone up on their challenge. Now…we are sharing this gift of gratitude with you.
Try it for yourself, we are asking that you dedicate 5 minutes per day for the next 14 days (70 minutes of your time). As a matter of fact, if you don’t see a difference, we will gladly pay you for the time we asked you to spend on this exercise 1 hour and 20 minutes of your time.
Make it a Great Day
